Reports To: Building Principal
Position Purpose: Teach Computer and Keyboarding at the Middle School Level.
Qualifications:
- Must meet Kansas State Department of Education licensure requirements for Secondary Education.
- Any secondary content area endorsement will meet the requirements for this position.
Physical/Emotional Requirements: The incumbent may be required to use the following skills and abilities during any part of the working day:
Speaking, hearing, visual, reading, writing, word processing, mobility, consistency of temperament, ability to work with a variety of problems at the same time, stamina for working long hours and in stress-producing environments.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Manages assigned labs
- Serves as a resource to classroom teachers for integration of instructional technologies with approved district curricula
- Maintains records, collects data, and completes reports as requested
- Develops, updates, and publishes the school’s website
- Assist teachers in publishing web sites
- Demonstrates technology leadership skills through building activities
- Incorporates use of appropriate technology
- Effectively implements the district-adopted technology curriculum
- Modifies teaching to meet individual students needs
- Communicates high expectations to all learners
- Seeks, listens, and responds appropriately to suggestions, requests, and concerns
- Develops lesson plans by incorporating effective lesson design
- Uses a variety of research-based instructional practices and current resources that support instructional goals and student needs

- Supervises pupils in out-of-classroom activities during the assigned working day

- Performs other tasks and assumes other responsibilities as the superintendent or designee may assign
Terms of Employment:
9 months; salary and work year to be determined by the Board of Education.
Evaluation:
Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board policy on evaluation of Certified Personnel.
