Summary of Position/Objective


This role will be responsible for building the project schedule, maintaining and updating the project status, taking necessary steps to achieve timely completion of all assigned projects, overseeing accurate and timely submittals, managing project changes, and keeping the project team aware of important dates, so the project schedule is not affected.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops project budget in alignment with bid documents
  • Works with Project designer to establish bid/ construction drawings and scope of work
  • Develops project plans specifying goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, identifying risks, contingency plans, and allocation of available resources.
  • Manages the procurement of materials, equipment and manpower for assigned projects.
  • Understand project financial components and manage assigned projects within the approved budget.
  • Obtain the appropriate permits and licenses from authorities for construction sites.
  • Establishes and maintains project communications, including delivering communications to various audiences, including leadership team members.
  • Works with customers, stakeholders, and the project team to formulate and define the scope and objectives of assigned projects.
  • Identifies and schedules project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks; manages task dependencies and critical path.
  • Identify and track risks and issues and manage the execution of mitigation plans.
  • Directs and coordinates internal and external project personnel activities to ensure assigned projects progress on schedule and within budget.
  • Develops and maintains project documentation following PRK Williams Building Group’s policies and procedures.
  • Prepares project status reports and keeps the customer, project team, and other stakeholders regularly informed of project status and related risks and issues.
  • Coordinates and manages requests for changes from original specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with any and all local, state, and federal safety regulations, building codes, and any other applicable rules and regulations.
  • Ensures the use of best practices and applies lessons learned from previous projects.
  • Ensures a positive, collaborative work environment for the team.
  • Manages sub-contractor and/or vendor relationships.
  • Responsible for ongoing customer satisfaction. Manages peer-level relationships (expectations, communications – internal and external, negotiations, escalation to senior management, customer feedback). Acts as day-to-day project contact for stakeholder(s).
  • Organizes work assignments to be able to complete assignments within established time frames effectively.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of all equipment and systems/technology necessary to complete duties and responsibilities.
  • Performs field supervision/ quality control as necessary.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Preferred, but Not Required
  • Five years of Project Management experience, residential and commercial
  • Drafting experience
  • 5 years field supervision experience of new construction and remodel projects


Certificates/Licenses/Registration
The employee shall possess a valid driver’s license and must be eligible for the agency’s vehicle insurance and provide proof of private vehicle coverage.


Supervisory Responsibility
The position does directly supervise employees.


Work Hours
Hours are varied depending on the needs of the organization. This may include but is not limited to, days, nights, weekends, and holidays. This position requires hours that exceed a typical 8-hour work day as needed.


Work Environment
This is an all-weather position.

  • The employee is frequently required to reach, climb, bend, squat, stoop and kneel.
  • The employee occasionally uses hand strength to grasp tools and climb ladders.
  • The employee will occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds.
  • The employees will occasionally push or pull items such as tables, chairs, scaffolds and air compressors.
  • Specific vision requirements include close and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus.
  • This position requires the employee to have the ability to move around on a job site that does not have level clean surfaces.
  • This position requires the employee to be able to drive a vehicle.


Travel
Frequent travel within a 50-mile radius is expected for this position. Occasionally travel beyond a 50-mile radius may be required, including out-of-state travel.
