Description
This position is a full time, clinical position within Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance in Columbia, TN.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare equipment and treatment areas for patient use in accordance with safety and cleanliness standards.
- Demonstrate a consistently professional, empathetic, and service-oriented approach when interacting with patients and their families.
- Performing modalities such as applying hot pack, cold pack, e-stim, US, etc. as directed by licensed clinicians.
- Cleaning and sanitizing equipment and therapy areas, as well as changing and laundering linens.
- Performing administrative tasks, including assisting with patient intake, receiving patients in for treatment, answering phone calls and scheduling patient appointments.
- Ability to deliver clear and professional communication within the workplace to patients and staff.
- Performing therapeutic modalities and/or exercise while under the supervision of a licensed clinician according to ethical/legal guidelines while knowing the precautions and contraindications.
- Ensure patient charts are consistently delivered to the department for review by technologists.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of wheelchairs and other mobility aids.
- Clearly communicates special instructions to technologists, such as “Caution: Fall Precautions.”
- Assist with direct and indirect patient care, including patient transfers, lifts, and other support tasks that contribute to a positive patient experience.
- Ensures the patient record is properly documented and accompanies the patient at all times.
- Manage electronic and manual fax correspondence efficiently and accurately.
- Scan documents into electronic medical records and correct any filing or scanning errors as needed.
- Correct scanning and filing errors, search for missing documents
- Adapt to schedule changes and work alternate shifts as needed to ensure departmental
