About The Roll

• Design end-to-end customer experiences for Toast hardware products, focused on topics like device setup, management, and troubleshootingWork as part of a cross-functional team of Product Designers, Industrial Designers, and User Researchers to deliver hardware experiences that are intuitive, efficient, and delightfulWork closely with partners in Design, Product Management, and Engineering to identify and define user pain points, crafting innovative design solutions that improve workflows and drive measurable user outcomesConduct design reviews to obtain feedback, iterating on the designs to improve resultsSupport qualitative and quantitative user research and testing to inform design iterations and ensure good outcomes for users and the businessDesign within Toast guidelines, best practices, and standardsSuccess in this role will likely require the ability to regularly visit our hardware lab in BostonThe right ingredients

Professional or academic experience in Product DesignFluency in Figma, Miro, and other design collaboration toolsExperience mapping workflows, creating wireframes and mockups, producing prototypes, and developing high-quality interfacesExperience testing with users and iterating on improvementsExperience organizing complexity and working with cross-functional teams to drive decisionsAbility to prioritize tasks and initiatives across multiple cross-functional stakeholder groupsSpecial Sauce

The base salary range for this role is listed below. The starting salary will be determined based on skills and experience. In addition to base salary, our total rewards components include cash compensation (overtime, bonus / commissions if eligible), equity, and benefits.
