What are the responsibilities and job description for the Restaurant Shift Lead position at Toastique?

The Shift Lead works directly with the Manager to ensure the daily tasks are completed and Team Members are fully prepared for their shifts. A Shift Lead is the acting Manager when a Manager is not present. Shift Leads are responsible for having absolute knowledge of the menu and assist Team Members throughout their shift. They are encouraged to help the Managers with all small tasks, such as helping with urgent ordering, assisting with inventory, and maintaining Toastique’s quality and standards.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- Starting at $17.00/hr ($18.00/hr with active Food Safety Manager Certification)

- Accurately complete prep lists
- Ensure each station has everything it needs to operate during business hours
- Step in to help solve guest issues
- Communicate with Manager on inventory such as if it’s getting low, expiration dates approaching, etc.
- Make sure team members are correctly making toasts, smoothies, bowls, etc.
- Take initiative to assist with training and teaching new employees
- 2 years of restaurant experience or 6 months working in a leadership position within the hospitality industry
- Successful completion of all Toastique training programs
- Food Safety Manager Certification (will recieve within 3 months if you don't currently have one)
Salary : $17 - $18
