What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shift Lead position at Toastique?
The Shift Leader works directly with the managers to ensure the daily tasks are
completed and team members are fully prepared for their shifts. A Shift Leader
is the acting manager when a manager is not present. Shift Leaders are
responsible for having absolute knowledge of the menu and assist Team
Members throughout their shift. They are encouraged to help the managers
with all small tasks, such as helping with urgent ordering, assisting with
inventory, and maintaining Toastique’s quality and standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Be a leader for team members
● Accurately complete prep lists
● Ensure each station has everything it needs to operate during business
hours
● Step in to help solve customer issues
● Communicate with manager on inventory such as if it’s getting low,
expiration dates approaching, etc.
● Make sure team members are correctly making toasts, smoothies, bowls,
etc.
● Take initiative to assist with training and teaching new employees
REQUIREMENTS:
● 6 months working full time at Toastique
● Completion of all training programs
● Food Safety Manager Certification
