Summary:
Oversees supply chain management, supports the Plant Managers and Research and Development department, builds robust supply chain, and monitors supply needs and industrial trends.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Actively analyzes and evaluates the spend in raw materials, supplies, and packaging for all TTI US based companies, including TTI and ELT.
- Oversees the Supplier Management Program. With the support of the quality assurance department, evaluates and monitors supplier quality and reliability. Tracks supplier non-conformances and creates quarterly reports for management for both ELT and TTI.
- Manages contract management, evaluates market trends to procure materials in the most cost-effective manner, managing opportunities and risks.
- Manages supplier relations, expedites emergency orders, and works with leadership to continuously improve the processes from procure to pay.
- Builds strong relationships with vendors and internal customers; collaborates with stakeholders to solve problems and implement corrective actions.
- Develops and maintains standards and procedures for purchasing to include creating purchase orders, managing receiving documentation, and updating regulatory documentation as required for new and existing materials.
- Creates item keys in SAGE X3 and maintains active sourcing for all raw materials in TTI and ELT including multiple vendors for each material to minimize risk.
- Allocates purchases to maintain relationships with vendors based on performance.
- Strategically assesses suppliers, market dynamics, and cost in coordination with production and quality assurance to ensure consistent supply of raw materials at the best possible price.
- Maintains updated cost list structure for TTI and ELT active raw materials.
- Maintains Enterprise planning delivery schedule for order tracking and on time deliveries.
- Identify preferred suppliers and work with them to improve lead times and usage projections.
- Monitor performance against usage projections provided to suppliers.
- Identify problematic raw materials and communicate issues with Chief Operating Officer, Plant Manager and Assistant Manager.
- Work closely with R&D to understand details of potential new raw material requirements.
- Works directly with QC and R&D on special project panels for final product evaluations.
- Collaborates with other TTI subsidiaries to provide support with the setup and maintenance of the Supply Chain Management System.
- Supports Accounts Payable as required.
- Supports additional quality assurance and business initiatives, as needed.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 5 years’ procurement or purchasing experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows.
- Strong communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, organization, teamwork, adaptability and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a results-oriented, challenging environment.
- Proven organizational skills required.
- This position requires regular presence in the office.
- Some travel may be required.
