Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Technician to join our team. This role involves working in various environments to install, maintain, and troubleshoot telecommunications systems. Duties
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment including Ethernet and low voltage systems.
- Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment for network installation and fiber splicing.
- Conduct field service visits to troubleshoot issues, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
- Telecommunicate with clients to provide updates on service requests or installations.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used during service calls.
- Adhere to safety protocols while working in various environments.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in field service or a related technical role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with network installation processes, including Ethernet and low voltage systems.
- Experience in fiber splicing is a plus.
- Basic electrical knowledge is beneficial for troubleshooting purposes.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective client interaction.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel to various job sites as required.
