Position Overview :
We seek skilled and customer-focused bartenders with a current TABC (Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission) certification to join our team. The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving various beverages, delivering excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to recipes and customer preferences.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of drink menus and specials.Ensure compliance with TABC laws and guidelines regarding the responsible service of alcohol.Customer EngagementProvide a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for guests.
Take drink and food orders promptly and accurately.Address customer questions, preferences, and special requests with professionalism.Compliance and SafetyVerify customer identification to ensure the legal drinking age.
Monitor guest behavior and consumption, refusing service to intoxicated individuals when necessary.Adhere to all TABC regulations and workplace safety standards.Bar MaintenanceRestock bar inventory, including liquor, mixers, and supplies.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware and equipment.Perform opening and closing duties, including counting the cash drawer and cleaning tasks.Team CollaborationWork closely with servers, barbacks, and management to ensure seamless operations.
Communicate effectively to manage guest flow and meet service standards.Skills and Qualifications
TABC Certification : Must have a current and valid TABC certificate.Previous experience as a bartender or in a related role is preferred.Strong knowledge of alcoholic beverages, mixology, and bar equipment.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Ability to handle high-pressure situations and busy environments with professionalism.Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic math skills for handling transactions.Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and move for extended periods.Ability to lift and carry heavy items such as cases of beverages or kegs.Capability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays.Salary / Compensation :
Hourly rate tips (commensurate with experience).
