What are the responsibilities and job description for the Interim MDS Coordinator/ RNAC position at Tobin and Associates, Inc?
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the completion of the Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments in a timely and accurate manner
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate and comprehensive patient assessments
- Review and analyze clinical documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Utilize medical office systems for data entry and documentation review
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology to accurately assess patient conditions
- Ensure accurate coding of diagnoses and procedures for reimbursement purposes
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives such as HEDIS reporting
- Communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to gather necessary information
Qualifications:
- Active and unencumbered RN License for Pennsylvania or Compact
- Previous experience in acute care or nursing home setting preferred
- Strong understanding of medical documentation review processes
- Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication skills to interact with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare providers efficiently
