Job description
Tobin Machining Inc is a CNC machine shop suppling machined parts and assemblies for OEM customers in the marine, automotive, military, agriculture and other markets since 1923. We specialize in highly complex parts, secondary operations, and component sub-assemblies.
We are currently looking for a 1st shift CNC Machine Mill Setup/Operator. Work hours are Monday-Thursday 5:00 am to 3:30 pm with Fridays being available for overtime as needed.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Operate and/or setup CNC machine tools including mills or lathes
- Complete First Article Inspection
- Read and interpret process sheets
- Perform part inspections using gages such as micrometers, calipers and various other hard gages
- Adjust tool offsets to account for wear to maintain conforming parts
- Perform basic tool changes, such as cutting inserts and drills.
- Clean and deburr parts after machining
- Ability to organize and maintain a clean work space.
- Communicate with co-workers, engineering and quality as needed
Qualifications and Skills
- At least 2 years related CNC Mill or Lathe experience required
- Experience using basic hand tools.
- Excellent attention to detail.
