Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary tools and materials.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-operative care, and treatment options.
- Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient flow to optimize office efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Dentrix is a plus.
- Understanding of endodontics and basic anatomy knowledge is beneficial.
- Ability to take vital signs when necessary; can provide training.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing patient records.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Commitment to maintaining infection control standards in the clinical setting.

Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
