Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Tobosa Early Intervention is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. This position will assist us in growing our early intervention program working with children from birth to 3 years of age. The COTA will work with the therapist to provide individualized care and treatment to patients. The successful candidate will work with a variety of patients with different physical and mental impairments.
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Duties and Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans established by the occupational therapist, including exercises and activities, to improve motor and cognitive abilities
- Evaluate and document patient progress
- Monitor and adjust treatments accordingly
- Assist with activities of daily living to help improve patient independence
- Demonstrate therapeutic exercises and teach patients how to perform them
- Provide feedback and support to patients and families
- Work with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient needs are met
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Requirements and Qualifications
- Certification in Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Experience working in an occupational therapy setting preferred
- Able to communicate effectively with patients and their families
- Knowledge of the principles, procedures, and techniques of occupational therapy
- Knowledge of common medical conditions, disabilities, and the effects on patient functioning
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Physical strength and dexterity for patient-handling tasks
- Other duties as assigned

8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Pay Range: $25.00 - $30.00
