What are the responsibilities and job description for the Team Coordinator position at TOBOSA DEVELOPMENT SERVICES?
Tobosa Developmental Services is seeking an effective manager to lead staff in providing quality services to individuals supported by Tobosa by building productive relationships with supervised team members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the implementation of and monitor the delivery and quality of services:
- Review records and documentation and directly observe service provision to ensure that:
- Services provided are person-centered and support individual choice, personal dignity, participant rights, and health and safety.
- ISP goals are tracked on an ongoing basis.
- Required paperwork is accurate, complete, performed in a timely manner, and maintained appropriately, i.e. action plans, quarterlies, quick tips, individual inventories, meeting follow-up.
- Services are provided in a flexible, timely, and ongoing manner.
- State and federal billing, service documentation, and other procedural requirements are met, i.e., activity logs submitted in a timely manner.
- Support staff and take prompt corrective action to ensure delivery and quality of services.
- Be available on-call during specified periods to troubleshoot issues with staff on duty.
- Perform routine house checks.
2. Mentor, supervise, and lead designated staff.
- Provide input into hiring new employees.
- Facilitate program orientation and on-site training for new staff.
- Support staff in carrying out program goals and objectives.
- Provide and support the professional development of all staff that relevant, concrete, and enhances professionalism.
- Provide individual and group supervision that is regular, strengths-based, solution-focused, and collaborative in nature.
- Respond quickly and effectively to staff concerns.
- Implement regular evaluations for staff according to agency policy and provide constructive feedback about their performance.
- Facilitate house meetings on a regular basis.
- Recommend and implement progressive discipline procedures, including discharge, when necessary.
3. Plan and develop program services, policies and procedures that meet funding source requirements, are consistent with program philosophy, and support the agency’s mission.
- Work with the Community-based Program Director to implement a plan for ongoing program evaluation that includes input from parents, staff, board members, funding sources, and other stakeholders.
- Continuously maintain up-to-date knowledge of ISP regulations and community-based definitions to assure appropriate policy changes and practice applications.
- Maintain appropriate records and complete necessary reports to fulfill contractual, accreditation, and regulatory requirements.
4. Perform other administrative functions.
- Provide ongoing feedback to the Community-based Program Director regarding program operations, developments, issues, staffing, and direction.
- Maintain cost efficiency in Community-based Program.
- Undertake ongoing efforts to maintain and build professional competencies.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited university in a human services or related field or equivalent experience in developmental disabilities field preferred
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Interest in and desire to work with persons with developmental disabilities
