General Construction Laborer

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Construction Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in various construction tasks, ensuring that projects are completed safely and efficiently. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team on-site.

Responsibilities

• Assist skilled tradespeople in various construction tasks including framing, drywall installation, and concrete pouring.
• Load and unload materials and equipment from trucks and transport them to designated areas on-site.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment by removing debris and ensuring tools are stored properly.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
• Operate basic hand tools and power tools as needed under supervision.
• Participate in site preparation activities including digging trenches, setting up scaffolding, and mixing materials.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.

Skills

• Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 pounds).
• Basic knowledge of construction methods, tools, and equipment is preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively as part of a team.
• Good communication skills for effective interaction with team members and supervisors.
• Willingness to learn new skills and techniques related to construction work.
• Familiarity with safety practices in the construction industry is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
• Year round work
