Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and personable Front Desk Coordinator to be the first point of contact for our patients. This role is pivotal in ensuring a welcoming atmosphere while managing various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for scheduling appointments, verifying insurance benefits, collecting payments, answering phones, maintaining patient records, and possessing strong office management skills, exceptional customer service abilities, and proficiency in office technology.
Duties
- Greet and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner.
- Updating patient records and checking insurance eligilbility and verification, obtaining pre-authorizations for procedures, and explaining coverage to patients.
- Collecting and posting payments, processing credit card transacations, managing patient balances and explainiing payments.
- Answering incoming phone calls, addressing inquires, scheduling appointments in an organized and productive manner, and managing emergency calls.
- Presenting treatment plans with a focus on the financial aspects, explaining costs and addressing any questions.
- Handle correspondence, including emails and mail, ensuring timely responses.
- Following up with patients regarding appointments, reminders for upcoming visits, calling on recall patients to ensure all are booked.
Skills
- Strong office experience with a focus on organization and efficiency. is a plus but not mandatory.
- Proven customer service skills with the ability to handle inquiries professionally.
- Experience with phone systems to manage calls effectively.
- High level of computer literacy with the capability to learn new software quickly.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork and collaboration in an office environment.
