What are the responsibilities and job description for the Doctor's Assistant/Receptionist/Optometric Technician position at Today's Vision Fairfield?
Responsibilities:
- Perform preliminary testing and data collection for patients, including visual acuity, lensometry, and tonometry.
- Assist with patient intake and medical history documentation.
- Enter patient information into electronic medical record systems (Crystal PM).
- Prepare examination rooms and equipment for optometrist use.
- Assist with contact lens fittings and instructions.
- Educate patients on proper eye care and contact lens hygiene.
- Perform basic administrative tasks such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing patient records.
- Process insurance claims and handle medical billing tasks.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and order new stock as needed.
Skills:
- Strong organizational skills to manage patient records and appointment schedules.
- Excellent attention to detail for accurate data entry and record keeping.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and insurance providers.

Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays 830AM-5PM
Tuesdays & Thursdays 830AM-6PM
Saturdays 830AM-1PM
