What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optometry Front Desk Associate position at Today's Vision?
Provides office & technical support to an optometric practice by performing duties such as ordering supplies, assisting with patient exams, merchandise selling, data entry, and answering the phone and greeting patients.
- Greets visitors, answers phone, and performs duties such as scheduling and confirming appointments.
- Assist patrons with glasses, lenses and contact lens purchases.
- Sale, adjust, and dispense eye wear to patients. Verify spectacle prescriptions.
- Orders supplies, and maintains inventory and equipment such as spectacles, contact lenses, solutions and clinical supplies. May assist in providing inventory of supplies within clinical rooms.
- Creates, retrieves and files records electronically regarding patient information, such as appointments; contact lens or spectacle information.
- Assists with daily insurance verification & claim submission for various insurance policies. May also assist with claim reconciliation & other financial duties.
- Picks up mail and corresponds with vendors, patients and other guests regarding clinical matters.
- May initiate reports regarding patient and vendor information.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Onsite training available.
