Accounting Office Manager
Todd & Associates CPAs is a full-service, regional public accounting firm headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansas, with satellite offices in Dallas, Texas, and Stuttgart, Rogers, Newport and Hot Springs, Arkansas. We were recently named the Best Accounting Firm in Arkansas by the readers of AY Magazine. We are focused on helping small to medium-sized business owners organize and analyze their financial statements, administer payroll to their employees, and optimize tax liabilities. We also provide a full suite of strategic CFO consulting services geared towards buying and selling businesses, raising capital and complying with bank requirements, renewing contractor licenses and other certifications, and analyzing cash flows.
Our growing firm is looking to add Accounting Office Manager in our Newport office with 3 years of bookkeeping and payroll experience. Job candidates should also be customer-centric and will be charged with building and owning client relationships with the highest standard of concierge level customer service. Ideal candidates will be well-organized to manage our robust client list, and a genuine desire to help our clients achieve their objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare bank reconciliations and adjusting journal entries
- Compile monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and other reports
- Prepare sales, use, and franchise tax returns and related compliance filings
- Run client payrolls, file quarterly payroll tax reports, and prepare year-end W-2s and 1099s
- Work closely with tax preparers on financial data needed for income tax filings
- Check-in and scanning of tax documents into electronic workflow system
- Some individual tax return preparation and filing based on experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Bookkeeping, payroll, and sales tax experience
- Tax experience is highly valued
- Technical skills including Microsoft Excel, Quickbooks, and Tax Software
- Ability to function in an all-electronic, team-oriented environment
- Prior experience with construction, restaurant, or health-care businesses is a plus
- Travel not required. Work will be in the Little Rock office.
