Job Description

Todd Haiman Landscape Design (THLD) is a small, collaborative firm specializing in urban residential garden design. Based in New York City, our projects primarily focus on rooftops and terraces in upscale apartments and gardens in townhouse properties. We also design landscapes for vacation homes in the Northeast.

Our mission is to create original, holistic outdoor spaces that reflect a sense of place, integrate sustainable and functional solutions, and address clients’ needs with imaginative, site-specific designs. We collaborate with architects, engineers, fabricators, contractors, and artists to plan and execute our projects. Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Project Manager/Landscape Designer located in New York, NY. The role involves designing, overseeing and managing landscape design projects, expediting processes, communicate progress updates to clients, assist with decision-making and managing logistics to ensure successful project completion. Additional responsibilities include marketing thru social media

Qualifications

  • Positive attitude, self-motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, SketchUp, and Apple Office Suite (Pages, Numbers, Keynote).
  • Knowledge of native plants in the Northeast.
  • Experience in project management or coordination.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Excellent written skills and attention to detail.

Additional Desired Qualifications

  • Horticultural knowledge
  • Experience with social media engagement
  • Understanding of SEO marketing strategies

Education & Experience

  • 1–3 years of professional experience.
  • Degree in landscape design, landscape architecture, or architecture (BLA/MLA preferred). Candidates with relevant experience or training are also welcome to apply.
  • Open to individuals with diverse skills and creative perspectives.

Additional Information

  • Compensation: Commensurate with experience and expertise. Yearly bonus additional.
