Maintenance Technician
Madison NE Plant
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will maintain and/or repair manufacturing and supporting equipment as needed for production; maintain and repair equipment as per preventive maintenance scheduling. Adheres to all departmental and company policies and standards to meet or exceed all proper food production GMPs, working with different departments in accordance with scheduling and equipment layouts, and upholding equipment updates, repair, safety and setup / teardown.
Responsibilities:
- Installs new or relocated machinery, visually inspecting and testing equipment.
- Completes work orders in a timely manner
- Determines proper course of action as it relates to repair, replacement, modification of equipment, tools, etc., and makes recommendations.
- Conducts preventative maintenance per Preventive Maintenance Program
- Lays out of equipment, assembles, installs, and maintains equipment.
- PLC diagnoses
- Work with several departments to determine scheduling, budgets, maintenance, equipment setup and teardown
- Operates welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills:
- Minimum 3-years industrial maintenance experience required
- Boilers, cooling systems, and general maintenance skills preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
- Understands electrical, mechanical and control systems.
- High ability to analyze, troubleshoot and perform repairs.
- Minimum 2 years PLC experience.
- Minimum 2 years CAD experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
