What are the responsibilities and job description for the PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR - NE position at Todd's BBI?
Production Supervisor:
- Reports directly to Plant Manager. Works with Plant Manager on planning production and development of team. Daily meeting to discuss progress and challenges.
- Responsible for the organization and direction of employees. Plans employee hours and daily responsibilities.
- Coaches and trains employees on proper procedures and GMP's. Works one-on-one with employees to show the best practices.
- Conducts monthly training meeting as per SQF requirements.
- Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the plant.
- Gives feedback to employees. Responsible for reinforcing and rewarding good work as well as giving corrective feedback and disciplinary action as necessary; i.e.: write-ups, additional training, etc.
- Spends a majority of their time on the production floor overseeing production process, verifying paperwork, procedures, GMP's, etc.
- Learns all areas of production to be able to fill in if necessary and to train employees.
- Oversees equipment operation and makes adjustments as necessary. This would involve training other employees to operate and adjust equipment to empower employees and spread out the work amongst the crew.
- Ability to become forklift certified.
- Ability to become PCQI certified.
- Ability to complete and pass acidified foods course.
- Ability to complete management training course to further develop their skills.
- Addresses QA concerns and administers corrective action.
- Complies with all company policies as well as all SQF, CCOF, Kosher and FDA requirements.
- Other duties as assigned by company management.
- Ability to speak Spanish a plus, but not required.
Starting wage determined by experience
