Toddle Inn Child Care is committed to fostering health, wellness, and community engagement through diverse and enriching programs. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Aquatics Director to oversee our aquatic operations, ensuring a safe, high-quality experience for all participants.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Development & Management: Design, implement, and oversee various aquatic programs, including swim lessons, water aerobics, lifeguard training, and special events.
- Seasonal & Year-Round Swim Programs: Toddle Inn offers swim lessons and open swim classes during the summer season. Additionally, there are opportunities to expand the program year-round with our indoor pool at our Scarborough location. The Aquatics Director will be responsible for planning, staffing, and executing these programs to ensure a fun and safe experience for participants.
- Staff Leadership & Development: Recruit, hire, train, and supervise a team of lifeguards, swim instructors, and aquatics staff.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations, conduct routine safety drills, and oversee pool maintenance and inspections.
- Budgeting & Financial Oversight: Manage the aquatics budget, track expenses, and develop strategies to enhance revenue and program participation.
- Customer Service & Community Engagement: Provide excellent service to members and guests, address concerns, and promote aquatics programs within the community.
- Facility Maintenance: Oversee daily pool operations, ensuring that all equipment and facilities are well-maintained and meet safety standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in aquatics management.
- Current certifications in Lifeguard Training, CPR, First Aid, and Water Safety Instruction (WSI).
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) certification.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Sports Management, or a related field.
Additional Skills:
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
