We are hiring for an experienced Security Technician located near the Waukesha or Madison, WI areas. Reporting directly to the Service and Installation Manager, this is a role for a highly technical, customer-focused rockstar, with 2 years of experience working in the commercial security systems field.
In this role you will...
- Use approved project documents and maps to properly and efficiently install and service
all Toepfer security solutions. - Perform needed installations and services through activities such as running electrical
wiring in crawl spaces and related activities such as drilling, trenching, etc. - Responsible for connection of control panels, application requirements, wire
concealment, and security software installation. - Inspect installation sites and study work orders, building plans, and installation manuals to
determine materials requirements and installation procedures have been met. - Conduct routine maintenance of installed equipment.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues on installation jobs.
- Train customers in proper use and navigation of equipment.
- Maintain proper documentation on all work performed and equipment used in accordance
with established policies. - Communicate and coordinate work efforts with the operations staff and other technicians.
- Build and maintain a positive rapport with customers.
- Complete Daily Project Reports
You've got what it takes if you have...
- 2 Years technology experience in access control, video surveillance, and/or
alarm/intrusion detection experience; such as SoftwareHouse, AXIS, Kantech, Bosch,
Genetec, ExacqVision, etc. - Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with
attention to detail. - Demonstrate proficiency in reading and understanding electrical schematics, site maps
and drawings, and related documents associated with the installation and service of
security systems. - Present a professional image both in personal and vehicle appearance.
- Ability to pass pre-employment screenings.
- Flexible schedule. Must be available for occasional nights/weekend work, and overnight travel.
- Must be able to climb ladders and work on lifts as needed.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
