We are hiring for an experienced Security Technician located near the Waukesha or Madison, WI areas. Reporting directly to the Field Operations Manager, this is a role for a highly technical, customer-focused rockstar, with 2 years of experience working in the commercial security systems field.
In this role you will...
- Use approved project documents and maps to properly and efficiently install and service
all Toepfer security solutions.
Perform needed installations and services through activities such as running electricalwiring in crawl spaces and related activities such as drilling, trenching, etc.
Responsible for connection of control panels, application requirements, wireconcealment, and security software installation.
Inspect installation sites and study work orders, building plans, and installation manuals todetermine materials requirements and installation procedures have been met.
Conduct routine maintenance of installed equipment.Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues on installation jobs.Train customers in proper use and navigation of equipment.Maintain proper documentation on all work performed and equipment used in accordancewith established policies.
Communicate and coordinate work efforts with the operations staff and other technicians.Build and maintain a positive rapport with customers.Complete Daily Project ReportsKeep informed of new products and developments.Maintain client privacy and confidentiality.Perform a variety of marginal duties not listed, to be determined and assigned as needed.You've got what it takes if you have...
Current driver's license and clean driving record (MVR).Ability to pass a state and federal background check to obtain industry licenses andsecurity clearance.
Must pass pre-employment and random drug screens.Flexible schedule. Must be available for nights / weekend work, as well as out of town – overnight travel, as needed.A working knowledge and understanding of electronics.Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks withattention to detail.
Possess a dedication to working in a fast-paced environment.2 Years technology experience in access control, video surveillance, and / oralarm / intrusion detection experience; such as SoftwareHouse, AXIS, Kantech, Bosch,
Genetec, ExacqVision, etc.
Possess excellent time management, planning, and forward-thinking skills.Security industry certifications would be a plus.Possess excellent telephone etiquette, communication, and listening skills.Possess the ability to self-motivate and work with little supervision.Ability to troubleshoot and repair other electronic components, including relays, computerhardware, and other CCTV equipment (both network and analog)
Operate hand tools and equipment necessary to perform all associated tasks.Demonstrate proficiency in reading and understanding electrical schematics, site mapsand drawings, and related documents associated with the installation and service of
security systems.
