Key Responsibilities:
Detailed Cost Analysis: Conduct in-depth cost analysis for diverse construction projects, ensuring estimates reflect true project scope, timelines, and materials.
Accurate Estimating: Prepare and present precise estimates based on detailed project specifications, ensuring all requirements are thoroughly met.
Collaborative Approach: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather critical information and provide input on design, schedules, and cost-effective solutions.
Drawing & Specification Review: Analyze and interpret construction drawings and project specifications to prepare complete and well-rounded estimates.
Risk Assessment & Contingency Planning: Identify potential risks and challenges early, incorporating appropriate contingencies into the cost estimates.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all estimates are aligned with federal, state, and local codes and regulations, particularly within government contracting.
Bid Preparation: Lead the creation of bid packages, ensuring that all components are accurate and competitive. Assist in the strategic development of the bidding process to meet project goals.
Cost Monitoring: Provide ongoing support during project execution, tracking costs, budgets, and managing scope changes to ensure financial efficiency throughout project lifecycles.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Government Contracting Experience: Proven experience as a construction estimator, with a strong focus on government and/or DoD contracts and a successful history of winning government awards
- Federal Contracting Expertise: In-depth knowledge of federal contracting processes, including FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) compliance and other regulatory frameworks
- Analytical & Mathematical Acumen: Exceptional analytical abilities, combined with strong mathematical and problem-solving skills
- Communication Mastery: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in construction estimating software (e.g., ProEst, Sage Estimating) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Detail-Oriented: Meticulous attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership in the accuracy and quality of your work
