Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily care and supervision of children in a daycare setting.
- Support lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development.
- Engage with children through play, storytelling, and interactive activities to enhance their social, emotional, and cognitive skills.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
- Monitor children's behavior and provide guidance on appropriate social interactions.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and daily activities.
- Help with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition during snack and meal times.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance caregiving skills.
Requirements
- Previous experience in daycare, preschool, or childcare settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and classroom management techniques.
- Strong behavior management skills to effectively guide children's interactions.
- Ability to create a nurturing environment that fosters learning through play.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with children, parents, and staff.
- A genuine love for working with children and the ability to build positive relationships with them.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus but not required at the time of application.
