Childcare Director

Job Summary
The Child Care Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the child care facility, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. This role involves managing staff, developing curriculum, and fostering relationships with parents and the community. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education administration and a passion for early childhood development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall operations of the child care center.
• Develop and implement educational programs that meet the needs of children and align with state regulations.
• Supervise and support staff in their roles, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with parents, addressing their concerns and promoting family engagement.
• Ensure compliance with licensing requirements, health regulations, and safety standards.
• Monitor children's progress and development, using assessments to inform program improvements.
• Collaborate with community organizations to enhance resources available to families.
• Manage budgets and resources effectively to support program goals.

Skills

• Higher education teaching experience is preferred to foster an enriching learning environment.
• Strong background in education administration to effectively lead the child care center.
• Experience working with students of various ages to understand diverse developmental needs.
• Ability to educate staff on best practices in early childhood education.
• A degree from a university in a relevant field is highly desirable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
