What You'll Do
You'll be matched with an opportunity to teach a Monday podcasting course in the afternoon to 11th and 12th graders at a school in Kingsbridge in the Bronx. You will be teaching the following :
Recording Basics : Show how to use a microphone, set up recording software, and understand basic audio settings. Hands-On Practice : Allow kids to record their episodes in small groups or individually, practicing their scripts and using the equipment.
- Basic Editing Skills : Teach how to use simple audio editing software (like Audacity or GarageBand) to cut, arrange, and enhance their recordings.
- Adding Music and Effects : Introduce how to add background music or sound effects to make the podcast more engaging
