Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Field Installer to join our team. This role involves the installation of custom-made metal and wood architectural elements, ensuring precision, quality, and adherence to project specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-end residential or commercial installation, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with on-site teams. This position requires some overnight travel, driving for the transportation of materials and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Install custom metal and wood architectural elements according to project specifications and shop drawings.
Ensure quality standards are met during installation.
Read and interpret design drawings, schematics, and installation instructions.
Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
Transport materials and equipment to job sites using company vehicles (clean driving record required).
Communicate effectively with project managers, site superintendents, architects, designers and clients to ensure seamless execution and high customer satisfaction.
Troubleshoot and resolve any installation-related issues on-site.
Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in good safe working condition.
Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and any modifications made.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training is a plus.
2 years of experience in construction
Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret shop technical drawings.
Ability to travel as needed for project installations. In some cases, for 3-4 overnights.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualification:
5 years of experience in construction
Special Requirements:
Required - Valid Montana Drivers’s License
OSHA 10 Certification preferred
Physical Requirements:
Lifting and Carrying – Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly, and up to 100 pounds, with assistance.
Standing and Walking – Extended periods of standing and walking,
Manual Dexterity – Frequent use of hands for operating tools and assembling components. There will be cases where they will operate machinery like lifts and forklifts onsite.
Bending, Kneeling, and Stooping – Required for positioning and installing architectural elements.
Working at Heights – Working on ladders, scaffolding, or elevated surfaces.
Driving and Travel – Ability to drive long distances and travel to job sites as needed.
Visual Acuity – Strong vision for precise measurements, alignments, and quality inspections.
