ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees.
Planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Establish a quality system which clarifies to subordinates their roles and duties in order to resolve problems and initiate tasks.
Establish method(s) to build in quality especially in manufacturing processing, and accordingly create quality documents.
Coordinate Quality Assurance activities with other departments for new product and revisions to existing product.
Plans, promotes, and organizes training activities related to product quality and reliability in the Quality department and throughout the company.
Take initiative to actively correct repeated quality problems.
Maintains Quality Department item Action Plan objectives and coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
Investigates and adjusts customer complaints regarding quality and assists in Corrective/Preventive Action.
Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of rejected parts and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility.
Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
Prepare customer required documents.
Arrange activities for product approval parts evaluation both internal and external.
Plan, evaluate and monitor receiving, in-process and final audit quality planning to improve process control. Initiate corrective action as deemed necessary.
Coordinate countermeasures for customer complaints and/or customer/internal rejections.
Coordinate activities to follow TS16949 requirements and initiate action as deemed necessary.
It is the manager’s responsibility to ensure that the appropriate resources and information to support the operation and monitoring of the processes in their department are available. If additional resources and/or information are required, this is communicated to the appropriate Department Manager and/or Executive Management using appropriate methods (i.e. Personnel Requisition TS4.1.02, Requisition Q4.6.004, etc.) to ensure they are obtained.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees. Superintend company wide quality assurance activities and check if those are met to system or requirements. Supervise and instruct members in Quality Assurance department on their daily jobs. Evaluate technical skills and problem solving abilities of members in Quality Assurance department, and take necessary corrective actions.
