The purpose of this position is to process daily transactions in our customer information system. This entails importing and validating payment information from third-party payment collectors, preparing and recording bank deposits, researching transactions, preparing adjustment entries, and creating customer refund batches. This position works closely with customer service representatives to respond to customer inquiries and requests. Other duties may include collecting and distributing mail, printing and mailing checks, responding directly to customer inquiries, preparing and reconciling reports, and support accounting functions as needed. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to function in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on providing excellent customer service.
- Importing third-party payment files into the customer information system, including validating totals, mapping to correct customer databases/accounts, and verifying accuracy.
- Reconciling transaction discrepancies with third-party payment vendors.
- Preparing and recording bank deposits for walk-in or mail payments.
- Responding to information requests from other departments.
- Responding to customer requests for account and payment information.
- Researching customer account and banking transactions.
- Creating customer account adjustment transactions.
- Preparing refund transaction batches, researching, and reissuing refunds.
- Running and reconciling reports from various applications.
- Other clerical duties as assigned such as collecting mail, printing and mailing checks, maintaining financial records, answering and responding to telephone/email inquiries from internal and external customers, providing back up coverage for other team members.
- A minimum of a high school diploma or GED issued from an approved GED Administrator.
- Minimum of one year relevant experience.
- Must possess and maintain a valid State of Florida Class E Driver's License.
- AA in Accounting or General Business PreferredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
