Service Technician I General Description:
The Service Technician I is an entry level position in the Customer Service Department. The role of this position is to provide field customer service by performing tasks associated with physically initiating and discontinuing water service, leak investigation and various customer service functions. The purpose of this position is to provide accurate information for billing of utility services and professional customer service assistance to citizens and business owners, and to perform a variety of maintenance and customer service tasks on residential and commercial water meters.
Service Technician II General Description:
The purpose of this position is to provide field customer service to and guide customer bases. This is accomplished by communicating with customers; evaluating repairs; replaying to inquiries; directing bi-weekly meetings; and ensuring team performs regular vehicle checks. Other duties include changing and replacing meters; evaluating and solving issues with AMI programs; repairing leaks; maintaining supplies and inventory; overseeing vehicle checks; and training new team members. In addition, oversee reconnection of service and disconnection of service at customer sites. The successful candidate will have demonstrated an ability to provide excellent customer service, strong communication skills, ability to respond professionally to difficult intensified conflicts, and teamwork skills. Preference will be given to applicants with familiarity of Toho Water Authority's service area.
Service Technician III General Description:
The role of this position is to provide field customer service. This is accomplished by communicating with internal and external customers; accurately completing work orders, routing daily work using navigation sources and prioritization of tickets based on urgency level, and performing water quality tests. In addition, install remote meters, complete small commercial disconnects, and maintain or install a DCU.Service Technician I Essential Functions:
- Provide customer service internally and externally.
- Complete work orders and associated paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
- Plan work and schedule route using navigation system and service area mapping.
- Inspect work truck and maintain inventory and supplies in work truck.
- Internally and externally communicates with customers by meeting and responding to customers; advising customer of resolution; completing work paperwork accurately; connecting with internal customer; visiting work sites; communicating with team members and maintaining inventory and supplies.
- Disconnect and reconnect meters using proper tools and within timelines and deadlines.
- Accesses and enters data or information using a personal computer.
- Performs miscellaneous work by assisting with collection activities i.e. disconnect, reconnect, tampering, broken promises, NSF's etc.; exposing curb stops; digging up meters; and maintaining supplies and inventory.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Replaces meters, boxes, and lids by exchanging meters; ensuring accuracy of organization revenue source; digging out meter boxes; replacing meter gaskets; reprogramming devices; fulfilling paperwork; and visiting work sites.
- Repairs AMI system by replacing and reprogramming devices; checking for water leaks; corresponding with customers about leaks; and visiting work sites.
- Installs new meters by collecting paperwork; scheduling in accordance with order of payment and subdivision; guaranteeing proper materials are on vehicle; replacing curb stop and meter connector; digging out meter taps; installing and programming devices; and completing paperwork.
- Tests water meters by performing bench tests; visiting work sites; replacing and installing meters; documenting meter accuracy; fulfilling paperwork; and testing flow for water meters.

Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain that required qualification would be:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or GED issued from an approved GED Administrator.
- This is an entry level position; previous relevant work experience is preferred but not required.
- Must possess and maintain a valid State of Florida Class E Driver's License
Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain that required qualification would be:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or GED issued from an approved GED Administrator.
- Minimum of one-year relevant experience.
- Must possess and maintain a valid State of Florida Class E Driver's License.
Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain that required qualification would be:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or GED issued from an approved GED Administrator.
- Minimum of two years relevant experience.
- Any combination of education and experience which demonstrates the candidate’s ability to perform successfully in this position will be considered.
- Must possess and maintain a valid State of Florida Class E Driver's License.
- As a condition of employment, must obtain a Class B Driver's License within the first six months of employment.

Salary : $39,374 - $56,347
