The purpose of this position is to ensure and maintain compliance and operations of the Toho Water Authority Wastewater Reclamation Facility assigned. This is accomplished by checking for normal operations, system pressure, and chlorine residuals; performing inspections on all pumps; performing maintenance on all equipment; and evaluating facility operations. Other duties include fulfilling monthly, quarterly, and annual work orders; approving all purchases; tracking all purchases on spread sheets; submitting new purchase orders; creating work orders for repairs; managing customer complaints; and assisting the Chief Operator.

- Fulfills facilities operations by, conducting daily plant tour; collecting data; collecting samples; analyzing chlorine residuals in effluent; recording details in the log book.
- Assists the Treatment Operator Chief with biannual and annual employee evaluations.
- Manages work orders by generating and assigning work orders. Reviews work orders for timely completion; accurate equipment and work completed information; and ensures costs are captured correctly. Will also close all correctly completed work orders.
- Maintains correct inventory of facility chemicals by placing chemical orders as necessary, as well as fuel, and spare equipment.
- Remains updated on all company e-mail by daily opening e-mail account; filtering information; saving important data; and replying to emails in a timely manner.
- Ensures that the appropriate facility GST tanks levels, pressures, flow rates, and residuals are maintained.
- Assists in Capital and Operating budget planning by evaluating facility needs and submitting budget requests to the Supervisor, with complete background and explanation of needs.
- Assists with all purchasing needs by processing P.O. requests and approving invoices.
- Assures all Toho Water Authority and regulatory agency reporting requirements are met (to include DMRs, crane inspections, meter calibrations, scale calibration, EPA QA/QC requirements, malfunction and planned maintenance reports).
- Maintains, readily available, accurate and current documentation for all water facilities equipment (to include well information, pump and motor info, piping, valves, building records, inspection certifications, calibration records, and O&M manuals)
- Safety: ensures appropriate PPE is available, inspections are conducted, monthly meetings are held, ensures all Water Reclamation Facility staff use appropriate PPE when needed, and all safety requirements are properly documented.
- Manages daily workload by scheduling and delegating work to Operators.
- Provides regular feedback to employees under his/her supervision through regular meetings, written communication. Provides feedback to the Supervisor to assist with evaluations.
- All other duties as assigned.
- A minimum of a high school diploma or GED issued from an approved GED Administrator.
- Minimum of three years of relevant work experience.
- Any combination of education and experience which demonstrates the candidate’s ability to perform successfully in this position will be considered.
- Must possess a Florida Wastewater Operator License.
- Must possess and maintain a valid State of Florida Class E Driver's License.
- Must be willing to be on standby rotation.
