APT Research is hiring a Senior Unexploded Ordnance Safety Officer in Huntsville, AL to provide direct support to identification and disposal of unexploded ordnance across wide range of customer on Redstone Arsenal. This position will support the largest safety organization within DoD supporting multiple program and project offices. This response officer will provide direct support to the identification and disposal of unexploded ordnance. The candidate may serve on safety boards, prepare documentation, lead the explosive safety management program, and provide technical expertise in explosive safety storage through site inspections and analysis.

Required Experience/Education
- Graduate of a qualified explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) school with at least eight years of combined military and commercial UXO experience
- Ability to work outside normal work hours at short notice as dictated by workload
- Ability to work away from primary work location in excess of normal workday
- Ability to travel, whenever required and for extended periods both inside and outside the US
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Intermediate user level of computer systems; Microsoft office software (word, excel, outlook)
- Ability to obtain a Secret level clearance

- Ability to interact professionally with coworkers, management, and customers

Physical Requirements
- Requires sitting for extended periods of time at a workstation / desk
- Ability to lift >15 lbs.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, make rational decisions, and to exercise good judgement
