What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Supervisor - 2nd shift position at Tokai Rika Group?
This is a 2nd shift, exempt (salary) position. Core hourse are 2:00pm-11:00pm
Supervise and coordinate activities of Associates engaged in expediting the flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between departments of the plant, and of Associates engaged in scheduling production operations. Section Manager is responsible for the training of all department associates.
To develop short- and long-range plans for and manage the activities of Associates engaged in project activities to ensure
successful implementation of new product launches and localization activities. Provide leadership to Associates engaged
in cross-functional activities for each phase of the new product process to make sure all requirements and timing are met.
\n- Supervise and coordinate activities of Associates engaged in expediting flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between departments of industrial plant, and of Associates engaged in scheduling production operations.
- Provide responsible leadership for Production Control Team Leaders and all Production Control Associates in order to facilitate participation in decision making and development of individual skills and abilities.
- Evaluate written data such as orders, product specifications, and bill of materials, parts and materials inventory lists, and machine and worker production rates, to ensure a smooth execution of the production plan.
- Maintain finished good and components levels at the designated levels.
- Coordinate safety stock in the plant.
- Control and maintain kanbans.
- Support and control the new products production process.
- Co-chair physical inventory activities.
- Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow.
- Issue written and oral instructions in order to assign duties and examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
- Write performance evaluations for direct reports.
- Required to drive power industrial trucks.
- Thorough working knowledge of manufacturing of manufacturing organization, including JIT manufacturing theory, TPS and TQM.
- Thorough working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic principles.
- Knowledge of principles and application of statistical process control.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of industrial and process engineering.
- Excellent organizational, managerial and supervisory skills.
- Thorough knowledge of safety rules regulations and requirements, including OSHA and MIOSHA rules and regulations and MSDS requirements.
- Team building skills.
- 8 yrs experience w/ HS diploma / GED
- 4 yrs w/ Bachelor's degree and 2 years supervisory experience preferred
