We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our customers, employees, and visitors. This role involves monitoring premises, conducting regular patrols, and responding to incidents as they arise. The Security Guard will play a crucial role in loss prevention and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Duties
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of the premises.
- Conduct regular patrols of the property to identify any suspicious activity or potential security breaches.
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, providing assistance as needed.
- Document incidents, prepare reports, and maintain accurate records of daily activities.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to address security concerns or incidents.
- Implement conflict management strategies to de-escalate tense situations effectively.
Skills
- Possession of a valid BSIS Security Guard Card is required.
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and strategies to minimize theft or damage.
- Strong understanding of conflict management principles and practices.
- Background in law enforcement or military service is advantageous but not required.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while making quick decisions in emergency situations.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail for identifying potential threats or hazards.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with diverse groups of people effectively.
