Token Metrics is seeking a General Counsel to join our team and provide expert legal guidance in the rapidly evolving cryptocurrency and blockchain space. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cryptocurrency and securities law and a passion for the digital asset industry.Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive legal advice on cryptocurrency-related matters, including regulatory compliance, token offerings, and digital asset classificationsDevelop and implement legal strategies to navigate the complex regulatory landscape surrounding cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologyDraft and review legal documents, including terms of service, privacy policies, and partnership agreementsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure legal compliance in product development and business operationsMonitor and analyze regulatory developments in the cryptocurrency and securities space, providing timely updates and recommendations to leadershipManage relationships with external counsel and regulatory bodiesAdvise on intellectual property matters related to Token Metrics' products and servicesAssist in fundraising efforts and corporate governance mattersRepresent Token Metrics in court proceedings and legal disputes as neededQualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdictionStrong knowledge of securities laws and regulations, particularly as they apply to digital assetsDemonstrated experience advising on token offerings, cryptocurrency exchanges, and decentralized finance (DeFi) projectsFamiliarity with international cryptocurrency regulations and compliance requirementsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal adviceStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholdersExperience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environmentProven track record of successful litigation and courtroom representationRequirements Must own and actively engage with cryptocurrencies to demonstrate a deep understanding of the technology and ecosystemProven track record of staying up-to-date with the latest developments in cryptocurrency law and regulationAbility to work collaboratively in a remote environmentPreferred Experience working with or for a cryptocurrency or blockchain companyKnowledge of cryptocurrency market analysis and trading platformsFamiliarity with decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) and related legal structuresAt Token Metrics, we are committed to pushing the boundaries of the cryptocurrency industry.
