What are the responsibilities and job description for the SERVER/Bartender position at Tokyo Cowboy?
We are looking for servers who will thrive in an environment with the following:
· Clear, transparent, and constant communication (we try to listen twice as much as we speak!)
Consistent and reliable feedback designed to help us all learn, grow, and be great.
We believe that our servers success lies in their ability to provide genuine hospitality to each guest. To effectively service our guest and provide a friendly and welcoming demeanor throughout their experience. A success for server will be strong in the following areas:
Communicate well with teammates and guest and always maintain personable and professional communication. This includes being able to listen and collaborate where applicable.
- Positivity! We all have bad days, but we work together to see each other where we are and solve problems.
- Teamwork! We are all here to serve our guests and each other – we succeed or fail as a unified team!
- Professionalism with personality. We are all here to work in a business we are proud of, but we also enjoy our work!
We are looking for servers who:
· Are positive, especially when it’s hard to be.
· Value feedback and are constantly learning.
- Enjoy working with others and being part of a team.
- Care about personal and professional growth.

- Listen to guest feedback and relay or make suggestions to managers. This may include suggestions for service, menu, or ambiance.
- Quickly learn and memorize details about the menu to be able to respond to guest questions. This includes knowing key ingredients relating to food allergies.

- Greet everyone we encounter with warmth and positivity (okay, this is for everyone!)
- Follow our steps of service... unless there is a situation where it’s best to improvise for the guest!

- 3 glass and 3 plate carries (don’t worry, we teach this!)
- Work well with others – support others when one can and ask for help when it’s needed.

- Set the next team up for success (aka some “side-work”)
- Move with a sense of intention, purpose, and pride.
- Greet guest and maintain a friendly demeanor throughout their experience.
- Understand and communicate what’s on the menu, answering questions guest might have, and making recommendations on menu selections to guest if necessary.
