The Government Affairs Specialist will play an important role in supporting TEL's growth in the semiconductor industry; a dynamic sector influenced by government involvement and public policy changes. Reporting to TEL's Director of Government Affairs, the ideal candidate will contribute to TEL's government affairs objectives and the activities of TEL's Washington, DC office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Manage the development and execution of external advocacy strategies related to export control, technology, and national security policy, legislation, and regulations.
- Represent TEL in meetings and interactions with Congress and the Administration to help drive awareness of TEL and disseminate TEL's public policy positions.
- Support the DC office's engagement with key external stakeholders, including industry groups and trade associations, consultants, think tanks, industry peers and customers, and members of the diplomatic corps.
- Monitor and share insights regarding relevant congressional hearings, executive branch reports, and think tank events and publications.
- Analyze legislative and regulatory activities and help determine their impact on TEL.
- Develop communications for several internal audiences - peers, management, and senior executives - by writing talking points, memos, summaries, updates, and reports on public policy issues relevant to TEL.
- Help host executive visits to Washington, DC.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including TEL's Global Government Affairs and Public Policy team, to ensure consistent messaging and policy alignment.
- Provide project management support to TEL's DC office, including tracking of budget, timelines, and deliverables for key projects.
- Support Government Affairs team initiatives, events, and other activities and assignments as needed.
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally, approximately 10-20%.
