We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Assistant Manager to join our team at a vibrant hibachi restaurant. As an Assistant Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the restaurant, providing exceptional service to our guests and maintaining a positive work environment for our staff. Your strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask will be essential in driving the restaurant's success.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:Assist the General Manager in supervising and coordinating all front-of-house and back-of-house activities.
Provide guidance and support to staff members, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork.
Conduct regular staff meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations to ensure high standards of service and productivity.
Lead by example, demonstrating excellent customer service, professionalism, and adherence to restaurant policies and procedures.
Guest Satisfaction: Ensure exceptional guest experiences by maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, promptly addressing guest concerns, and resolving any issues that arise.
Monitor the quality of food, beverages, and service to ensure consistency and meet or exceed guest expectations.
Respond to customer feedback and reviews, taking appropriate action to improve guest satisfaction and loyalty.
Operations Management: Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, inventory management, and scheduling.
Oversee food preparation, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as the restaurant's quality standards.
Collaborate with the General Manager to develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize efficiency and profitability.
Sales and Marketing: Contribute to the development and execution of sales and marketing initiatives, such as promotional events, special offers, and social media campaigns, to drive business growth.
Monitor sales performance, analyze trends, and identify opportunities to increase revenue and improve profitability.
Training and Development: Assist in training new hires, ensuring they are knowledgeable about the menu, restaurant policies, and customer service standards.
Provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities to staff members to enhance their skills and foster career growth.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within the restaurant industry
- Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with staff and guests.
- Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Solid organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
