General Summary:
Coordinates and /or perform Diagnostic X-Ray exams.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Example of Essential Duties:
- Leads, directs, and coordinates the work of X-Ray staff.
- Interacts and communicates with providers and support staff to facilitate and promote departmental operations.
- Monitors the status of equipment repairs and preventative maintenance, gathers data on equipment malfunctions and associated down time.
- Evaluates staff, provides counsel, monitors performance, directs orientation, provides guidance and constructively influences staff morale.
- Maintains the ability to perform all procedures in the discipline for which they supervise to include all aspects of assessment of patient needs.
Other Essential Duties May Include (but are not limited to):
- Controls inventory, care of, and purchase of supplies regarding the area of responsibility.
- Maintains knowledge of, observes, and enforces all safety measures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Required:
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and OSHA regulations.
- Must be a registered X-Ray technologist.
- Prior Supervisory Experience in a medical office/ hospital.
- Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame.
- Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.
- Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.
- BLS/CPR Certified
- Adheres to all clinic policies and procedures.
Education and Certification:
- Associates or bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology. ODH and ARRT(R)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support
Preferred:
- Registered Radiology Technologist for at least 5 years.
- Prior Supervisory Experience in a medical office / hospital.
