Toledo Clinic's Urology Department is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist / Scheduler to provide front office support in a busy medical office. Ideal candidates will have previous experience in a medical office answering patient calls, scheduling patient appointments / testing, checking patients in and out, and have experience using an EMR system.
The hours for this position are M-F (8 : 00-5 : 00). The office is located at 3355 Meijer Dr in Toledo. Employee benefits are offered. No weekends or holidays!!
General Summary :
Perform various clerical duties to support the operation of the office.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities :
- Answering phones - courteously and professionally.
- Scheduling appointments, lab tests, surgeries, etc.
- Verifying referrals and / or pre-certifications.
- Updating insurance information.
- Answering general patient questions.
- Taking messages accurately and relaying to appropriate personnel.
- Collecting co-pays.
- Check patients in and check patient out. Schedule follow up testing as needed.
- Preparing and cleaning exam rooms.
- Sorting, filing and scanning patient charts.
- Other duties as assigned.
