Teacher Pool hires are those that we believe are aligned to our Mission, Vision and Core Commitments as well as our Strategic Plan, which will manifest itself in student achievement and service to our community, families, and students. Successful Candidate Hires are those whom we believe are committed to working in our district serving in any one of our schools and communities. Placement of 25/26 candidates will occur when specific vacancies have been identified.
Employment with the district as a teacher in the Teacher Pool means the following:
- Position is full-time and works the same time days, times and calendar of teaching employees
- Assignment will be made in a position outside of your license area based on district need (this could be long term or daily assignments, acting as building sub, etc.) and will work every day
- Receive contract pay and benefits commencing the first day of employment under the collective bargaining agreement; will accrue system seniority
- Be considered a ‘priority hire’ and offered contract positions within your license area before new hires to the district
