What are the responsibilities and job description for the ECE Classroom Leader position at Toledo Public Schools?
Please note, while this position is part of the TFT bargaining unit, it is paid on a different pay scale as it does not require a teaching license. Pays into SERS - not STRS.
Qualifications :
A bachelor's degree in child development or early childhood education from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 30 quarter or 20 semester hours in child development / preschool program planning and methods, including a supervised practicum with preschool children
Specific Job-Related Experience :
- Have knowledge and experience in the philosophy and practices of Head Start (or comparable child development programs), early childhood education, developmentally appropriate practice, and bilingual education.
- Have education or experience in collaborating with parents in the education of their children
