Position Summary
The Inside Sales Representative should be self-motivated and possess a customer focus attitude. This position will be responsible for communicating with customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring a smooth sales process. The ideal candidate should be able to prioritize several tasks and have good time management skills. To be successful as an Inside Sales Representative, you should have the ability to quickly build rapport and achieve customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Source new sales opportunities through inbound calls, emails, and phone calls
- Follow-up on any leads
- Be willing to learn multiple pricing structures for quoting
- Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate salesperson for further development and closure
- Understand customer needs and identify sales opportunities
- Ability to upsell other services provided by the company that will be of convenience to the customer
- Maintain database of current and potential customers
- Research and stay informed about competitors within the industry
- Demonstrate teamwork to ensure accurate work and information to be relayed
- Understand the needs and expectations of the customers and provide relevant solutions
- Establish and maintain rapport with customers
- Other duties assigned

Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous Inside Sales or Customer Service experience
- Industry knowledge is a plus
- Proficient with ERP software or similar database
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Demonstrated organizational skills
- Exceptional customer service with the ability to navigate through problems to come to a reasonable solution
- Strong listening and sales skills
- Strong attention to detail
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-2 years’ experience in sales or customer service, preferably in the steel industry
Work Environment and Physical Demands
The following environment/atmospheric working conditions are commonly, but not always, associated with the performance of this position.
- Exposure to noise, chemicals, and materials due to shop environment
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Occasional standing, walking, and lifting of at least 20 lbs.
