Staffing Coordinator (Full-Time)

The Toledo Zoo is currently seeking a full- time Staffing Coordinator. The ideal candidate will be a forward-thinking, organized individual interested in working in a high volume and fast-paced environment while supporting our mission to : Enjoy. Inspire. Educate. Act!
This position is responsible for the planning and coordination of staffing various roles within the Food Services and Merchandise Department. Duties will include, interviewing part-time staff, attending all orientations, touring new employees around the Zoo, conducting guest experience training and all other aspects of on- boarding new team members. The role will also include maintenance of current staff records, weekly scheduling, and reporting. This position does require weekends and some evenings.
The Staffing Coordinator reports to the Vice President of Food Services, is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and requires forty hours per scheduled work week.
Minimum Training and Experience
- Preference of a degree in Food Services, HR, Business, or related field and three to five years of experience in scheduling retail or food service employees, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
- Must have a valid drivers’ license and be insurable by the fleet insurance carrier.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- The Toledo Zoo is a drug-free workplace, including marijuana.
