What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Camp Teacher position at Toledo Zoo?
The Toledo Zoo & Aquarium has been educating, inspiring, and providing enjoyment to our community for over 100 years. Our Education department is currently seeking a part-time Camp Teacher who is passionate about learning new things and giving our guests the best possible experience.
This position reports to the Education Manager and is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Minimum Training & Experience
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must have the physical ability to work on your feet and be able to walk the Zoo grounds for several hours at a time.
- Preferred to have a valid drivers’ license and be insurable by the fleet insurance carrier.
- Work schedules include weekdays, weekends, and can include holidays.
- Applicants who have obtained or are pursuing a degree in the education or biological science fields are preferred.
- Pre-employment screening and background check are required.
- The Toledo Zoo is a drug-free workplace, including marijuana.
