What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tool maker / Mold maker position at Tolerance Tool, LLC?
Beneficial skill set includes but not limited to:
Experience in a mold or die manufacturing setting.
Strong math and reasoning skills.
Experience with common forms of inspection equipment including CMM.
Appreciation of close tolerance manufacturing.
Ability to recognize and apply new machining technics and processes.
Evaluate and develop a basic understanding of mold function and individual components within the mold.
Assembly and disassembly of new, damaged and worn molds of advanced complexity, troubleshoot to determine necessary repairs.
Understanding of tight tolerance mold fit verification and assembly.
Set up and effectively operate tool room equipment.
Adhere to and maintain safety policies.
Mold polishing experience a plus.
Positive workplace mindset.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Prefer 2 year technical school completion.
Ability to safely apply practical skills required in a tool room setting, including but not limited to: trig/math, blue print reading, machine tool operation and assembly.
Minimum 5 years working experience in a mold or die tool room.
Familiar and comfortable with manual and automatic grinding equipment, surface and spin grinding.
Effective communication skills required written and verbal.
Self-motivated, work as a team or individually.

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour
