We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Dishwasher and Busser to join our team. This role combines essential responsibilities including dishwashing, bussing tables, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and supporting the overall flow of service. The ideal candidate is motivated, works well under pressure, and takes pride in maintaining a clean and organized environment.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- At least 1 year of experience in a fast-paced kitchen preferred
- Basic understanding of kitchen safety, sanitation, and food handling practices
- Ability to take direction and communicate effectively
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods (up to 8 hours), including lifting or moving up to 40 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Flexible schedule and availability to work nights and weekends as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
- Ensure dishes and glassware are stocked throughout service areas
- Clean kitchen and food service areas according to posted cleaning schedules
- Bus and sanitize tables and chairs in dining areas
- Set and reset tables for service
- Take out trash, rinse garbage cans, and ensure proper waste disposal
- Clean and maintain dishwashing machines and other kitchen equipment
- Unload, rotate, and store food and supplies as needed
- Report any kitchen accidents or violations of food safety codes
- Support cooks and servers in maintaining a clean, efficient, and safe environment
- Restock and prepare workstations for the next shift
