Position Overview
Toll International LLC is seeking an experienced IBM Maximo Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) in advancing its Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Program.
Based at the New Jersey Marine Terminal (NJMT), you’ll play a pivotal role in enhancing asset management for marine terminals and rail facilities, including the ExpressRail system.
This role requires Maximo expertise, flexibility for site visits, and a passion for rail and mass transit projects. Here’s what to expect:
A. Maximo SME Skills
- Expertise in Maximo 7.6 configuration and asset management for rail and transit infrastructure.
- Manage and upkeep asset data, ensuring accuracy and alignment with enterprise standards.
- Develop asset management processes, restructure data hierarchies (e.g., ADS, ACS), and create workflows for Maximo integration.
- Collaborate with SMEs on Maximo integrations with SAP, PeopleSoft, ESRI, and mobile devices.
- Support training and documentation for the Port Facilities Management team.
B. Work Areas
You’ll be stationed full-time at NJMT, with travel to Port Authority sites such as Port Newark, Elizabeth-Port Authority Marine Terminal, Greenville Yard, Port Jersey, Howland Hook, and ExpressRail facilities across NJ and NY. Proximity to 1 Journal Square Transportation Center in Jersey City, NJ, is key for efficient commuting and occasional late-night site visits to other PANYNJ locations.
C. Work Hours
Work hours will be flexible, 8-hour day with one unpaid hour for lunch, a typical workday run from 7:00AM to 4:00PM.
D. General Requirements
- Provide technical guidance and support to meet EAM goals, reporting to the Port Maintenance Asset Manager.
- Manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks under pressure, and document findings in reports.
- Engage with stakeholders like PATH, MTA, contractors, and internal teams, ensuring operational continuity and safety compliance.
E. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, construction management, accounting, economics, or business administration.
- Proven Maximo 7.6 experience, ideally in rail/mass transit projects, with skills in budgeting and cost planning.
- Experience with the management of the QA/QC of asset data in Maximo 7.6, and above.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, MS Project, Primavera Expedition, Procore, or AutoCAD.
- Demonstrated experience with any or all the following: Maximo, Assetworks, ESRI Arc GIS, Oracle, COGNOS, SAP, BIM, CAD, RFID, SNMP, GPS enabled handheld/tablet.
- Strong problem-solving, team management, and communication skills; experience with PATH or MTA is a plus.
- Preferred certifications: PE License, CCM, PMP, OSHA 30.
- Valid driver’s license strongly preferred.
F. SWAC Requirement
Candidates must obtain a SWAC I.D. with associated security clearances immediately upon hiring.
